Fun in Te Tauihu

Te Tauihu has had a great start to term 4.
As we dive into Term 4, we’re excited to share the wonderful experiences happening in Te Tauihu! This term, our focus is on celebrations, and we kicked things off by celebrating a birthday during the first week—what a joyful way to start!
We’ve introduced two new outing groups that give our students fantastic opportunities to connect with the community. One group visits Woolworths to shop for cooking supplies, while another explores a local café every Friday morning. Students are practicing their communication skills by ordering food using their devices and learning to manage payments with an eftpos card.
In our cooking sessions, we made pizzas last week, which were a big hit! We’re planning to make them again, and the excitement is palpable. With the warmer weather upon us, we’re also taking advantage of outdoor activities like practicing ball skills and enjoying water play.
It’s shaping up to be a vibrant and engaging term, filled with fun, learning, and community connections. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue our celebrations and adventures!
