Getting to know each other

The beginning of the year at Tētēkura has been all about building connections and getting to know one another.
It has been wonderful meeting the new students and staff while participating in fun activities such as music, cooking, board games, and sensory experiences.
Over the past week, students have been deciding on the electives and work placements they would like to attend this term. They also contributed to the class charter, ensuring that we all work together to create a safe and welcoming environment for everyone.
In the coming weeks, students will share more about themselves and their goals for the year. The key focus for our first term will be the preparation for and setting of ITP goals. It’s important that students are well-prepared for this meeting, as it plays a central role in their goal-setting process.
