Getting involved with graffiti removal in the community.

Students have been involved in searching for tagging in the community. We have downloaded the Christchurch City Council app 'Snap Send Solve'. We wander around Phillipstown. When students find some tagging they take a photo on their phone and send it on the app. It is very satisfying the next week when we walk past and see the tagging has been covered up.

We were also lucky enough to been involved for 2 weeks in a row covering up some graffiti at the back of the pop-up shops on Stanmore Road. 2 weeks later the walls are still tag free.

It has been great to see students take pride in their community. They also pick up rubbish as we walk around. All the students loved doing the cover up painting.

This is an activity we'd like to continue with next year.
