This is my 16th year at PPPS. Prior to that I taught at Otautau Primary School in Western Southland. I have taught pretty much every level in the school but mostly within Year 3-6. This year my role is across many levels as I am also leading the Primary Teachers Negotiation team for NZEI Te Riu Roa.

Before leaving the US, I completed a BA in History and a Masters in American Studies. I did my teaching diploma at Christchurch College of Education, finishing in 2001.

I love teaching most subjects, but have a real passion for science - the more hands on the better. I also love reading, and have organised Book Week for most of my years teaching.

My family is on the East Coast of the US, near Boston, and I spend most of my summer holidays in winter so I can visit them. I have two sisters there, as well as my two favourite people, my niece Peighton and nephew Riley.

When I’m not at school or doing union activities, I love to read, cook and swim. I also really enjoy word games, including most recently Wordle.
