This summer we have had three school teams competing in the local touch competition. Two Yr 7&8 teams and one Yr 5&6 team.

The season runs over term 4 and term 1. Both Yr 7&8 teams did well over the season.

Our Yr 5&6 team had a great season making the final against Gleniti last week. For term 4 the team of Flynn Kelly, Max & Tarras Adams, George Austin, Henry Caird & Charlie Claridge got by with the minimum 6 players so no subs which was a challenge for them. This term we welcomed Harry and Jonty Jones, Jack Walsh, Ally-May Cleland and Jess Bowman which was awesome. Great to see these younger kids getting into and learning the game.

The final was closely fought against a much older, well-drilled Gleniti team although we didn’t take the win they were very complimentary and said it was their toughest game of the season.

The teams are supposed to be mixed but we struggled to entice the girls we would love to have some more of you involved for next season.
