Barb Curran —

Term 4 is busy for everybody, but especially for our Year 7 and 8 students!

Pets' Day is always a highlight, and students enjoyed designing and planning their stalls. This year the stalls were in the hall, due to poor weather, but there were the same number of happy students buying food and playing games as ever.

Jemma Swallow represented the Year 7 and 8's in the Lions Speech competition in the first week of term. Also, on the stage were Liam Harding and Ka’Sabiah Anisy-Oudemans in the South Canterbury Junior Drama League production of Musicville. We are really proud of them all.

The South Canterbury Relays were held Tuesday, with 29 year 7 and 8 students competing. We were thrilled with the results.

As we enter the final weeks of the 2021 school year there are a variety of exciting events for our senior students. On 30 November, we will be heading off for our camps. The Year 7 students will head to Mount Cook, while the Year 8's travel to Wainui for their much anticipated camp. The final week of term will see a “High Tea” and Prizegiving to recognise our Year 8 leavers. They have been a special bunch of students and we wish them well as they head off to their new High Schools.
