A Message from Mr Shaw
Dear Parents / Caregivers,
The end of the term has arrived quickly and before we know it our first 10 weeks of learning for 2023 have been completed.
As always, Term 1 is a busy term with camps, swimming, house events, duathlon, cricket, and teams away to compete in triathlon as well as a music performance —lots happening outside the classroom to go alongside the rich reading, writing, mathematics and topic learning occurring inside.
Thank you for your contribution to your tamariki's learning journey for Term 1 and a special thank you to our talented and hard working staff team. Our tamariki are being well supported to grow their Heads and Hearts for Learning and Life—as well as their Backpacks for the Journey. A special thank you to two staff that are leaving us after this term, Mr John Fisher and Kim Humphrey. Both members of staff have contributed to our team in many different ways. We wish both John and Kim all the very best next term.
As we look ahead to Term 2 there are lots to look forward to with cross-country, Keeping Ourselves Safe, Song Fest for our choir, NZ Playhouse performance and Book Week coming up, and teachers planning some exciting new units of study.
All the very best for the term holiday break. Enjoy some precious time with your children, and we look forward to seeing everyone back to enjoy a great new term!
Hayden Shaw
