The Board heard feedback from practitioners who recently sat exams

Earlier this month we held a focus group with practitioners who have recently sat their certifying exams. The exams moved to an online platform in November 2023 and the Board was keen for feedback from practitioners on the new process and what could be improved for future exam participants.

Feedback on the certifying exams was positive. The highlights were the frequency of exams and shorter wait time to resit was motivating for studying. 

We heard how it would be helpful for practitioners to see what the exam looks like ahead of sitting the exam. In response to this feedback, we will prepare an example of the online exam format so people sitting the exam can get a sense of the exam and question structure.

Take part in a focus group

Focus groups are held by the Board every couple of months, with topics varying for each group. The discussions are extremely valuable and we appreciate hearing about practitioners' views on initiatives and proposals. Last year the Board held focus groups on CPD topics, the 'Ask for Licensed' public awareness campaign, and the proposed changes to registration class names.
