The Board visited 269 sites last year to check compliance

In the year ending 31 March 2023 the Board visited 269 sites throughout Aotearoa to check licensing compliance. Over 41 days, Board staff visited Auckland, Arrowtown, Christchurch, Cromwell, Horowhenua-Kapiti, Mapua, Motueka, Nelson, Palmerston North, Greater Wellington Region, and Wanaka.

The main issues identified during the visits were around supervision and expired licences. The Board followed up 37 practitioners with reminders and assistance with relicensing and information about supervision. Four investigations were also instigated from the visits.

The Board are impressed with the positive engagement when carrying out the compliance visits. Practitioners were helpful in our follow ups and took onboard the feedback about licensing and supervision practices. Thank you to everyone who engaged with the Board's visits.
