Proposal to make minor changes to current registration and licensing requirements

The Board is consulting on a proposal to make minor changes to the current registration and licensing requirements. The Board is proposing to publish a single notice that will apply to plumbing, gasfitting, and drainlaying rather than the current notices.

Currently, the Board publishes separate notices for each trade. However, apart from the different technical competencies for each trade, the registration and licensing requirements are the same for all the trades.

The Board considers that a single notice will remove unnecessary repetition and will make it clearer and easier for practitioners to know how to get registered and licensed, and what is expected of them once they are, regardless of which trade they are in.
