The Board has confirmed the continued leadership of Chair, Diana Kuhtz Covich, and Deputy Chair, Barry Wilcox, during their first meeting of 2022.
“Both members have provided strong leadership and direction to the Board and I’d like to congratulate them on their return to the roles this year,” says Chief Executive, Aleyna Hall.
Diana is a registered Certifying Plumber and Gasfitter and has been a member of the Board since September 2016. Diana is a past recipient of the Board’s Merit of Excellence Award for Gasfitting. Barry, who also Chairs the Board’s Audit and Risk Committee is a registered Certifying Plumber and Gasfitter and has been with the Board since 2015.
Diana’s vision for the industry is one of continual growth and professional development which will enable tradespeople to keep up to date with industry trends and technological advancements.
“Both Diana and Barry have brought energy, commitment, and a wealth of experience to the Board and our role in protecting public safety. I very much look forward to working with them again this year,” says Ms. Hall.

The Board also welcomes new member James Smith. James has been appointed to the Board with effect from January 2022 to 31 December 2024. James is a Certifying Plumber, Gasfitter, and Drainlayer. James is a senior hydraulics engineer with over 25 years’ experience in the plumbing, drainage, and gasfitting industry.
