Team Rules:

This is a 4-person team competition and there will be Junior (Year 9 and 10) and Senior Divisions (Year 11 to 13). No mixed teams are allowed and all players must be from PNBHS. A Grading Day will be run on the first day (Monday 9th May) to assist with assigning teams into appropriate divisions.

The competition will be a doubles-only format and games will be timed or to 21 points, whichever comes first.

  • Please note that if a team turns up with only 2 players then the whole tie/all games are defaulted (we will let them play their games if they want to for practice).
  • If a team turns up with 3 players, then 3 games are defaulted automatically.
  • Subs can be used every week but please ensure this is organised before the competition - subs must be the same age bracket e.g. junior or senior player. If substitute players are used in the Finals, they must have played at least twice during the competition.

There will be no refunds once the teams have been registered with Badminton Manawatu. There will be no withdrawals from teams unless players are unable to organise a replacement player first.

All players must play in approved PNBHS Badminton Uniform, available from the School Uniform Shop, and non-marking soles. Players, including replacement players will not be allowed to play if not in correct uniform.

Players will need to organise their own transport to and from Arena Manawatu (approx. 10 min. walk from PNBHS). A school representative will be onsite for the duration of the competition, 3:30pm – 5:45pm.

Please return the permission slip below to Mrs. Young-Wilson after you’ve made the payment to E10 no later than Friday 8th April.
