PNBHS Rector’s Company
In Week 1 of Term 3 the PNBHS Rector’s Company will present William Shakespeare’s Henry IV as Hēnarē Te Tuawha. This re-imaging of the first three of the four plays sometimes know as “The Hollow Crown” sets the story in a New Zealand/Aotearoa of the 1830s.
This performance will include aspects of Māori culture, performance and music, for a uniquely kiwi interpretation of the play. This play has comedy, drama, battles, duels and the eventual triumph of a strong young king.
The play will run from 16th to 19th July in the Ian Calquhoun Memorial Hall at PNBHS. Ticket sales will be available online during Term 2.
It is still possible for students to become involved with extras needed for some scenes.
Please contact Mr. P Mills (millsp@pnbhs.school.nz) if you want to become involved.
