The 2023 badminton squad had been training hard in the lead-up to the NZSS Championships. Players had to improve their fitness, strength, and conditioning to come up to scratch for the four days of competition. Both the Senior A and Senior B teams entered Division Two and travelled to Porirua to face some strong opponents dominated by Auckland schools. 

Overall results, Senior A finished in 3rd place, gaining Bronze and Senior B finished in 6th place. The boys played well and gave their all, gaining valuable experience both on and off the courts. A special mention needs to be made of Nabeel Imtiyaz who was undefeated throughout this tournament, a rewarding end for the most improved player of the year. Also thank you to Andy Lin for his service to PNBHS badminton, he has been part of the Senior A squad for the last five years.
