We hope that the young men who were away this week on Year 10 Camps enjoyed the experience.  Year 10 Camps and other co-curriculum opportunities enable students to be challenged and moved outside their comfort zone in a structured manner and it is often under such circumstances that considerable individual learning and personal development occurs.

NCEA and Scholarship Examinations

NCEA and Scholarship examinations continue until Tuesday, December 14.  The examination timetable can be downloaded at the bottom of this article.

Teacher Only Days

On Monday, 29 November we will be closed for a Teacher Only Day. This day is to enable schools to continue their planning for changes to the NCEA assessment system in the coming years. Please note that this Teacher Only Day was initially set for Tuesday, 30 November so will be a change to the arrangements shown on some printed school material.

A further Teacher Only day is being held on Monday, December 6. This day will provide an opportunity for our teaching staff to review teaching programmes.

Please note that NCEA and Scholarship examinations will continue as scheduled on these days.

Junior Prizegiving

Thursday, December 9 is the final school day for junior students for 2021. Prizegiving awards will be presented to junior students during the school day. Unfortunately, Covid restrictions mean that only prize winners will be able to attend these presentations and we are unable to invite parents to attend. The presentations will be filmed and photographed and these will be made available to parents. Students will be dismissed for the year at 1.00pm. If you are unable to make arrangements for your son to depart at this earlier time please notify the school office (354 5176 or admin@pnbhs.school.nz) and he will be supervised until 3.20pm.
