Te Piringa Kapa Haka
Well done to Harvey Johnson, Aperahama Kahukoti, Roman Mason, Manaia Matehaere, Rakena Mohi, Noah Mokalei, Ihaka Rapira and Dharnel Tamati-Fotualii who were members of the Te Piringa Kapa Haka group that recently competed in Ngā Kapa Haka Kura Tuarua o Aotearoa, the National Secondary School Kapa Haka Championships. Te Piringa is comprised of students from PNBHS, Palmerston North Girls’ High School, Freyberg High School, Te Wharekura o Manawatū and Mana Tamariki.
The team members, tutors, supervising staff, supporters and whānau have put in significant time and effort since they qualified in 2023 to attend the national finals in Nelson in 2024. The commitment of these young men has been exemplary. The group performed with distinction amongst very high-level competition and can be very proud of their efforts. Tau kē!
