The 2023 New Zealand Super Eight Schools Badminton Tournament was played in Hamilton on Monday 12th and Tuesday 13th of June. On day one the team started on a strong note, beating New Plymouth Boys’ High School 4 - 2. The next tie was against Napier Boys’ High School, after some close games, the team lost to Napier 2 - 4. The team then played Hastings Boys’ High School winning 4 - 2 to finish the day on a positive note.

Day two started with a close tie against a strong Tauranga Boys’ College team and after some hard-fought games, the team lost 2 - 4. In the final tie of the tournament, the team was faced with a very strong lineup from Hamilton Boys’ High School. Hamilton Boys’ took the win 6 - 0, with the PNBHS team finishing fourth overall.
