PNBHS —

TOP ART EXHIBITION

The Top Art Exhibition is now open for public viewing upstairs at the Te Manawa Art Gallery.

This annual exhibition showcases the Level 3 Art folios of students from around the region who received an Excellence grade in painting, photography, design, sculpture, and printmaking.

A special mention to the following PNBHS Level 3 students from 2022 whose work is on display, Cameron Baker (photography and design), Alpha Mok (design), Will Liu (design - his work has also been selected to tour with the NZ Top Art Exhibition), Cody Whitley (painting - his work has also been selected to tour with the NZ Top Art Exhibition).

VISITING STUDENTS FROM NAMIKI

We enjoyed having students from Namiki school in Japan visit PNBHS recently. The Art Department were thrilled to spend time with the students as they experimented with stencilling based on the koru design to create their own painted compositions.

LEVEL 1 VISUAL ART DRAWINGS

The Level 1 Visual Art students have recently been exploring the work of American artist Jim Dine. Dine believes that tools provide a 'link with our past, the human past, the hand'.
