Congratulations to Mr Matthew Davidson, who has completed more than 10 years as the College House Manager.  Prior to being appointed Manager, he had spent two years as the Assistant Manager as well as time as a Hostel Master.  Mr Davidson, ably supported by Mrs Davidson, has done a superb job as College House Manager.  He works tirelessly to make College House a ‘home away from home’ for our young men, while still upholding the expectations and traditions of both the hostel and the school.  The College House Manager’s role is a 24/7 position throughout the school year, and we appreciate Mr Davidson’s enthusiasm and incredible commitment to this essential role.

Mr Davidson is also on the Executive Committee of the New Zealand Boarding Schools Association and is currently the Chairperson.

Alongside his Mathematics teaching and Deaning experience, Mr Davidson is a keen contributor to our co-curricular programme.  Most significant is the role of Manager of the 1st XI Hockey team, one he has fulfilled since 2009.  Alongside organising local and interschool fixtures Mr Davidson has overseen the team for annual Super Eight and Rankin Cup tournaments and is currently organising his fourth overseas tour with the team.  He has also managed school Cricket teams and continues to be involved in Year 13 and Year 10 camps.
