Joe Schmidt began coaching rugby when he was a teacher at Palmerston North Boys' High School and still playing the game for Manawatū. He ran the Boys' High first XV from 1994 to 1998 and took them to national finals in 1996 and 1998 – yes, without any stars.
From here he has coached Ireland, The All Blacks and now The Aussies, what a career pathway.
Come
along and hear Joe talk and entertain us all before he departs to Sydney. We
may not talk to him after he becomes the Aussie Coach.
