On Saturday the 1st XI Hockey team played Marist in the last match of the round in the Senior Reserve Competition.

PNBHS found it difficult to score initially despite having the run of play due to Marist's stacked defence throughout the match.

Malaki Masoe managed to convert a penalty corner to take the advantage late in the first quarter.

The 1st XI continued to attack throughout the game with little reward. However, they managed to play a great brand of hockey working well as a team.

It was not until the final minutes of the match that Matthew Dellow managed a final goal with the help of Carter Rhodes-Robinson to seal a 2 nil victory.

The 1st XI now enter a round robin competition with the two bottom teams from Division One to play for promotion to Division One in 2021.
