Giving Back at Palmerston North Boys’ High School

PNBHS —

Our young men are incredibly fortunate to be surrounded by people who voluntarily give so much to provide them with a very wide range of opportunities, both inside and outside of the classroom.

This inaugural annual publication, 'Giving Back at Palmerston North Boys' High School', represents our first attempt at capturing and celebrating the significant and varied support we receive

Please accept our sincere apologies for any contributions that have been overlooked.

We have a highly motivated and committed teaching staff, all of whom are involved in our co-curricular programme alongside their core teaching duties. A large number of our support staff are also involved in providing co-curricular opportunities.

As the range of activities that we offer has expanded and as the number of young men who are involved in co-curricular activities - often multiple activities - has grown, it has become increasingly challenging to fill the positions of coaches, managers, tutors, conductors, directors and the multitude of other support roles that enable these many activities to go ahead. We are indebted to the growing number of parents and other supporters in our community who come forward to help us.

We are also incredibly fortunate to have supporters in a wide range of other roles - financial supporters, reader/writers, the PTA, Education Foundation Trust and the Old Boys' Association and Friends of the School - who also make crucial contributions to our school. Ultimately, these contributions are all about providing opportunities and support for our young men.

We want to thank all of the individuals, groups, businesses and other organisations who make valuable contributions and allow us to be the school we are and provide our young men with the opportunity to become Educated Men of Outstanding Character.

Thank you to everyone who has supported our young men and our school.
