Please be aware of the necessary restrictions and rules so that sport can continue at Alert Level 2.
Due to the Alert Level 2 restrictions sport will continue with the following rules which apply to all Palmerston North Boys’ High School sports teams in all codes. It is extremely important for these rules to be followed to allow secondary school sport to continue for our young men.
- No spectators. Players, coaches and managers ONLY will be permitted entry to venues or be able to be on the sidelines.
- Where applicable, there has been extended time allocated between rounds/games in order to allow staff time to sanitise all equipment and surfaces to prepare for the next lot of teams.
- Teams must vacate the court/field/venue as quickly as possible to allow staff time to do what they need and bring the next teams in quickly.
- Boys are to arrive at the venue already changed in their sports uniform, ready to play.
- A roll will be taken by the Manager for contact tracing purposes.
- Boys must ensure they wash their hands before leaving home and again immediately upon returning home after their game. Where hand sanitiser is available it should be used in addition to hand washing.
- Boys must ensure they have their own water bottle and that they do not share this, or any other equipment, with others.
Each governing body, school, code and venue will have their specific Level 2 rules and will be spectator free. We thank you in advance for your cooperation.
