Recently a group of 20 senior students competed in a secondary schools Agri-Sports competition organised by Feilding High School. Rathkeale College also attended the day. The boys competed in teams of two in a range of activities relating to Agriculture. This included meat and milk classing, Apiculture, wheelbarrow races, fencing, plant recognition, body condition scoring of cows and many others. It was a busy morning for the boys and they competed well.
Rhys Mitchell and Nicholas Verry were the top PNBHS team and got to compete in the final after lunch against the top Feilding and Rathkeale teams. They placed second overall which was a great effort. Well done to Rathkeale for taking it out and thank you to Feilding High for being fantastic hosts. This included a sausage sizzle for the boys.
