Braxton Wilson-Clune and James Parkinson Train with the Warriors

PNBHS —

During the summer holiday break, Braxton Wilson-Clune and James Parkinson had the opportunity to train with the Warriors Rugby League team in Auckland. Braxton and James were identified at the New Zealand Māori Rangatahi Rugby League tournament in October and joined 30 other young men for the two-day camp - a great experience for them.

Braxton explained that "Being invited to the camp was a huge honour, especially since I had been watching the Warriors since I was young.  It was a huge learning experience for me and fantastic to train alongside legends such as Stacey Jones and Adam Blair."

The camp included aspects of training and preparation - lots of information about nutrition for training and playing, correct technique in the gym and recovery protocols.  Braxton and James were put through their paces with fitness testing and also had the opportunity to work on their ball skills in a number of drills simulating game situations.
