North Island Junior Volleyball Tournament, Tauranga, 22nd November to 26th November.

PNBHS —

Read below the Junior volleyball tournament team report.

The team which consisted of Marcus Dodds, Billy Easton, Harry Gordon, Tui Kaisami, Paula Koro, Brandon Lee, Nawid Rahimi, Zack Roberts, Kaden Shaw, Ben Tinsley and Jacob Wescott, started very well with wins against Tauranga A, Te Puke, and Western Heights B.

This placed us 1st in our pool of round one pool play, this also meant we were placed in Division 1 and were the top seeded team.  Our next round of games played out as follows, won against Napier Boys, lost in three sets to Manurewa and were then beaten by Trident A. This placed us 3rd in our pool after round two pool play, placing us as one of the bottom eight teams of division 1.

Our next game was to determine who would be playing for positions 9th–12th or 12th–16th.  We played Tikipunga in a three set game which we won, meaning we were then playing for 9th-12th position. In this pool was Napier BHS, Hastings BHS, Gisborne BHS and PNBHS. Our first game was against Gisborne BHS, which was another three set game, but unfortunately this time, resulting in a loss to us. Napier BHS beat Hastings BHS, so our last game was against Hastings BHS, resulting in another loss and ending our tournament in 12th position.

The team are to be commended for their determination and belief in themselves. Player of the tournament was Kaden Shaw.
