Motocross North Island Cross Country Championships
There were some great results from our young men at the North Island Cross Country championships raced at Taikorea on Friday, 1 September. 155 riders competed across the 90 minute Novice and Championship races. Laps were between 22 and 35 minutes and the track was part motocross track and part cross-country trial through tress and farmland, all of it on a sandy base. By the end of the day, the track was very rough and hard going. All of the boys rode well.
The Championship team finished third equal (top three riders points counted) – Alex Bennett 2nd, Charlie Weatherall 3rd, Fletcher Amey 3rd.
The Novice team also finished in third place (top three riders points counted) – Ben Harre 4th, Riley Ellis 5th, Jackson Broughan 10th.
