PNBHS Sports and Cultural Prizegiving and Senior Prizegiving Information
Please note that this information has previously been emailed to parents/guardians.
Our Sports and Cultural Prizegiving (10.00am) and Senior Prizegiving (6.00pm) for 2023 will both be held on Wednesday, 1 November at the Fly Palmy Arena, Pascal Street. At these Prizegivings we will celebrate the achievements of young men with the presentation of academic, special and memorial awards. All young men will attend these Prizegivings and parents, caregivers, other whānau and friends of the school are warmly invited to join us.
Please be aware of the organisation for the day:
· As these Prizegivings are formal occasions all students are to wear shoes and socks.
· Students who are prize winners at the Sports and Cultural Prizegiving will need to report to the Fly Palmy Arena by 9.30am. All other students need to report at 9.45am.
· The Sports and Cultural Prizegiving will begin at 10.00am.
· At the conclusion of the Sports and Cultural Prizegiving, approximately 11.30am, students who are not prize winners at the Senior prizegiving will be released outside for a break. This will be followed by a rehearsal for the Senior Prizegiving. Students will be released for the day at the conclusion of this rehearsal, approximately 2.30pm.
· Students who are prize winners at the Senior Prizegiving will need to report to the Fly Palmy Arena by 5.30pm. All other students need to be seated with their Form Class by 5.45pm. Please note that there will be limited parking available, so we encourage you to be at the venue in plenty of time for the 6.00pm start.
· Study leave for students studying NCEA subjects will begin at the conclusion of the Senior Prizegiving.
Year 13 students and their parents are invited to a Leavers’ Supper in the school hall at the conclusion of the Senior Prizegiving (approximately 8.30pm). Thank you to the PNBHS Parent-Teacher Association for arranging this.
A separate Junior Prizegiving will be held on Tuesday, 5 December. Information about this Prizegiving will be provided closer to the time.
College House students and their parents are invited to the College House Prizegiving at 3.00pm in the Speirs Centre. This will be followed by afternoon tea in the College House Dining Room.
