The Ministry of Education is organising a series of 10 interactive workshops for multi-ethnic communities in Palmerston North to raise understanding of the New Zealand education system and to encourage stronger partnership with schools to support good learning outcomes. Children and youth sessions focused on literacy, numeracy, and youth empowerment will run simultaneously to the parents’ workshops. This is a great opportunity for parents to learn more about the NZ education system, NZ Curriculum, NCEA and NCEA changes, post-secondary transition and pathways, bullying and discrimination, learning difficulties and behaviour issues, culturally appropriate parenting, and many other interesting topics.
