Benji Pritchard

PNBHS Old Boys —

Old Boy Benji Pritchard needs your support! Vote now for his new initiative that has earned him a finalist place at the TSB Peoples Choice Awards.

Benji is the Founder and Chairperson of Education Is A Right, Not A Privilege.

Education Is A Right Not A Privilege or better known as EIARNAP, is a non-profit organisation helping children in New Zealand get the education and future they deserve.

Benji and his colleague Conor Doherty-Craig are creating a platform called ‘Techne’.

They are currently finalists for the TSB ‘Good Stuff’ Awards. This includes the People’s Choice category in which the community can help get involved by voting for their idea at https://tsbgoodstuff.co.nz/peoples-choice/

Techne will be a platform that caters to the New Zealand schooling system and all individuals, providing quality content by teaching students programming languages and encouraging young people to enter into STEM fields, starting in Manawatu. Similar to its meaning in Greek (“The principles or methods employed in making something or achieving an objective”), Techne will be able to deliver information in a series of walk-through tutorials that will help students and individuals across New Zealand reach their potential in learning how to code. This will include online lectures, supplementary materials such as PDF documents, interactive quizzes and coding spaces for real-time editing. We’re excited to see the impact our initiative will make in the future!
