Past Accelerate High Flier: Alex Chappel

PNBHS —

Mr Chappel, a student at PNBHS from 2013 to 2017, and member of the Accelerate Programme, has just completed his master’s degree in physics at Auckland University and recently called in to talk to some of our young men. He has been accepted into the Physics department of Sherbrooke University, near Montreal in Canada, as a Ph.D. candidate.

While at PNBHS, Alex showed excellent academic promise as well as being a top cyclist. Alex participated fully in the life of the school. When visiting a group of our accelerate students today, he took pains to point out that the values of the school matter. It was those values to which he attributes his success. That, and building good relationships while an undergraduate student.

Alex leaves for Canada this Saturday, 26 August, along with his fiancé. His research focus while at Sherbrooke University will be quantum computing.
