Level 1 Sports Science Field Trip
During week six of the term, all Year 11 Sport Science students went on a field trip to the Manawatū River. This was to help with their learning about Te Taiao, meaning the natural environment, and its influence on physical activity. While there, all students ran between Ahimate Reserve, He Ara Kotahi Bridge, and Turitea Pā covering a total distance of 8km. While at each of these areas, they learnt about its history and participated in a Māori game/activity. Well done to all involved and thank you to Mr. Strickland, who along with students Noah Mokalei, Monson Brown, Rakena Mohi, and Harvey Johnson, organised and led the activities at each stop.
