Literacy at PNBHS

PNBHS —

The development of literacy skills is fundamental to young men's academic progress and achievement in all subject areas.  Each day at the end of lunchtime young men and teachers read during SSR (Sustained Silent Reading).  Weekly book reviews at assembly expose students to different authors and genres and help to promote the importance of regular reading.  Thank you to the Rector, Mr. Bovey, for providing our first book review of 2021, albeit in a format suitable for Alert Level 2.  If your son is struggling to find a book he enjoys reading encourage him to speak to our librarians who will be able to provide some suggestions based on his interests.
