After a year break due to Covid, we were able to return to boxing this year. As the only school in New Zealand to still hold school boxing championships we are lucky to have Billy Meehan to support us.

Preliminary bouts were held in the school gym at lunchtimes leading up to the finals. Due to larger numbers, we held the senior bouts before their study break and then we continued with the junior bouts. Thank you, Billy, for the time you put in to keep this sport going at the school. Billy brought his ring in for the junior finals, and we brought the whole junior school into the hall to watch the finals.

Thank you to the staff and students who gave up many lunch times to help run the boxing. Mr Meehan (Junior), Ms Gray, Mr Tomlinson and Mr Henderson who helped run the finals.
