PNBHS Athletics Preliminaries

PNBHS —

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Re: Athletics Preliminaries – Monday, March 8

We are hopeful, as you no doubt are too, that a move to Alert Level 1 will be announced over the weekend. However, we are planning for our Athletics Preliminaries to go ahead under Alert Level 2 conditions on Monday, March 8. In order for that to occur I need to draw your attention to the following:

· At Alert Level 2 NO spectators are able to attend the Athletics Preliminaries. We appreciate that this will be disappointing for some parents but do need your support in this regard for the Athletics Preliminaries to go ahead.

· Young men will need to regularly wash their hands during the day.

· Competitors in field events will be required to use hand sanitizer before competing and after competing.

· There will be ample space in the areas set aside for spectators for young men to physically distance. As with any lunchtime or interval they will need to ensure they take responsibility for this.

Can I please ask that you remind your son that he will need his books and other materials for his Day 6 period 1 class, full and correct club uniform, a sunhat and sunscreen. Your son is encouraged to wear his school shirt and sunhat between events and to apply sunscreen regularly throughout the day. The school canteen will be operating from the Jubilee Room throughout the day and eftpos is available.

Should a postponement be necessary due to the weather, information will be posted on Stratus, the PNBHS Facebook and Instagram pages and an alert sent via the school app as soon as a decision is made.

Our PNBHS Athletics Championships are scheduled for Thursday, March 11 and we will communicate any necessary organisational changes with you once the Alert Level has been confirmed.

Thank you for your continuing support.

Yours faithfully,

D M Bovey
