In late April, twenty-six Japanese language students from Years 11 to 13 returned from an exciting two-week tour of Japan. Guided by their Japanese teachers, the young men thoroughly enjoyed experiencing Japanese culture first hand as they navigated the historically and culturally important cities of Hiroshima, Kyoto, Osaka and Tokyo. Among the highlights were visiting a Japanese school and home-staying with Japanese siblings. Best of all, however, was getting to explore Japan in a unique way with their friends from PNBHS.

This was a once-in-a-lifetime experience for the young men involved. The PNBHS Language Department endeavours to offer these culturally and linguistically enriching tours on a regular basis to the young men who continue to engage with language study into their senior years at high school.
