Congratulations to Year 10 student Jonathan Jamieson, who won the U16 Downhill event at the New Zealand Secondary Schools' Mountain Bike Championships during the recent school holidays.  Jonathan also competed in the U16 Enduro event where he finished in second place.

Congratulations also to Year 13 student Adam Francis, who was third in the U20 Cross Country event.

Injury prevented Year 9 student Tom McInnes from competing at the NZSS competition.  However, he had recovered in time to compete at the first race of the National Downhill Mountain Bike series in Napier, where he finished third in the U15 boy's age group.  There are five races in total in this series, with the next in Rotorua at the end of October.
