Manawatū Secondary Schools Orienteering Championships
There were 77 competitors at this year's Manawatū Secondary Schools Orienteering championships. Our team of 30 all did very well with some much-improved individual performances from last year. Jakob Abernethy completed the course overall fastest but made an error at one signal point so disappointedly got a DNF.
Under initial pressure from the first three Feilding boys, the PNBHS team gradually wrestled their way back into contention and eventually took out the first eight places.
Congratulations to our podium finishers who were presented with their certificates at assembly earlier this term:
1st - Troy Wong
2nd - Alex Sharpe
3rd - Blair Verry
Our thanks go to the Orienteering Club who ran a superb event once again.
