The Rector's Company

PNBHS —

National Shakespeare Schools Production

In the first week of the holidays, two of our students, Eli Hancock and Jacob Waugh will be attending the National Shakespeare Schools Production in Dunedin, under the auspices of the University of Otago and Shakespeare’s Globe Centre New Zealand (SGCNZ). Eli and Jacob will be working with professional directors and other students selected from the SGCNZ Sheilah Winn National Festival held in June. There will be performances on October 7th and 8th, (tickets available through Evenfinda).  https://www.eventfinda.co.nz/2022/shakespeare-globe-centre-new-zealand-nssp-performances-2022/dunedin

After these performances students will be selected for the Young Shakespeare Company tour to the Globe Theatre in London, and we wish Eli and Jacob a successful outcome.

Sheilah Winn Regional Festival 2023

In the first weeks of Term 4 we begin our preparations for the next year’s Shakespeare Festivals. The Rector’s Company will enter again, and any students who would like to participate, and possibly follow in Eli and Jacob’s footsteps should make themselves known to Mr. Mills. Existing members of the company are assumed to be interested.

Shakespeare Production 2023

The production of Much Ado About Nothing that was postponed from last year will run at the end of term 2, 2023. More information will be provided at the beginning of term 4 this year.
