The annual Manawatu Wanganui Intercollegiate Golf Championship was played on Thursday 1st April and was once again hosted by Marton Golf Club. A record 57 entrants (33 of these were from PNBHS) participated. The individual championship was always going to be a tight competition between the Feilding High School number one and our own Remy Early. Remy managed to get around with a two over par 74 defeating the Feilding number one by two shots. Fletcher Carpenter won the net competition on countback with a net 68 over Orlando Ratima. The team’s competition was a runaway victory for the PNBHS A team, defeating the PNBHS B team by a considerable margin, qualifying them for the regional play off with the Taranaki winners.
