Library News

We started this year with a new, long computer desk on the Fiction side, similar to the one installed recently on the other side. Five new computers have been added to complement the laptops for class use. We often have two Junior classes using the computers, so needed more.

 

Our new promotional screen has been installed and it is great to be able to now advertise book news, authors, school interests and activities plus success stories from Stratus. We have one last Year 9 class to host for their Library Orientation and are very happy with the results from an interesting and interactive presentation, designed and offered by Mrs Davies. She is now bringing in some of the classes in small groups, to train them up in the use of our variety of digital resources.

 

We are proud to announce that Sakthi Prabhu (as a Year 12) has been selected as Head Student Librarian for 2025! Congratulations! New members of our team are Aidan Harris, Kevin Joshua and Daniel Khademi with some others being trained currently. We look forward to a good year ahead with a strong team of hard-working Student Librarians.
