Stu and Rachel headed over to Hastings on June 2nd. We spent a delightful two hours at lunch at Sommerset on the Orchard Café with a group of Old Boys that meet there on the first Thursday of each month. This day there were seven of them at lunch and we again enjoyed listening to their stories of school life as well as catching them up on school life now.

Friday July 2nd saw our first Old Boys Function out of Palmerston North for the year we had about 35 old boys turn up at the Maccau bar on The Strand in Tauranga. Thanks to Grant Mitchell and Cameron Mitchell, both based in Tauranga for organizing the venue for us. Drinks flowed and conversations with all age groups were engaging. Stu provided a run down on school which our Old Boys like to hear about. A few sore heads were on the sideline at Tauranga Boys College on Saturday to support the 1st and 2nd XVs in their Super 8 games. Thanks again to Grant Mitchell who works at Tauranga Boys College for making tea and coffee available up in their pavilion.
