April Library News

The Library is a good place to use before or after school due to our generous opening hours, heat pumps and comfortable furniture. Where better to meet your friends at the start of the day or wait for that lift or bus after school?

Every Year 9 class has attended our Library Orientation programme during their English class. Students then search for the answers to our Library Quiz while they explore the library. Among others, they need to locate the Graphic Novel section (highly popular), the recipe books, sports books, board games, keyboard and guitars. They also get an opportunity to come into the library in small groups during SSR for a more personal visit to get familiar with our books and how to get the best use out of the book stock. Hopefully, they are confident about using the library after all this.

The Library Web App is also a great resource for research for our senior students. You can reach it via our Library page on Stratus (Click on SEARCH WEB APP). Once you have entered a search keyword, click on One Search to get results from thousands of academic journals, magazines and newspapers. For help with this you can ask our library staff.

Use the Web App as well to browse through our long list of new books, which cater for all levels and interests.
