The Shakespeare Showcase due to be run by The Rector’s Company during week 9 of this term has been postponed, as a result of cast sickness, to week 4 of Term 3 on the 18th and 19th of August.

 The Rector’s Company will perform scenes from Hamlet, Julius Caesar, Romeo and Juliet, Much Ado About Nothing and A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Performances will be in the Little Theatre.

Congratulations to Hemi Pinfold-Whanga, who won the Korimako Senior English section of the recent Ngā Manu Kōrero regional speech competition. In his fifth year at the competition, Hemi won both the Prepared Speech and Impromptu Speech sections and will now compete in the national Ngā Manu Kōrero competition in Wellington in September.
