Palmerston North 150th Tree Planting Ceremony by PNBHS

Totara Planted to Recognise 150 Years

It was a pleasure to welcome Old Boy and Palmerston North Mayor Mr. Grant Smith to assembly recently. Mr. Smith was with us as part of Palmerston North’s 150th celebrations. The Palmerston North City Council has gifted native trees to schools in our city in recognition of the link between the city and the schools, both historically and into the future.  A Totara was donated to PNBHS and this was planted across from the Gallipoli Oak.  Thank you to the PNCC staff for their support, to our Head of Te Reo Māori whaea Debi Marshall-Lobb and students for their involvement in the tree planting ceremony, alongside the Rector, Mr. Bovey.
