Junho Bahng Wins CETA Kahoot Competition

Congratulations to Year 11 student Junho Bahng, who was the winner of the recent CETA Kahoot Competition.  This competition included quiz questions covering the three commerce subject areas of Accounting, Business Studies and Economics and was open to students from throughout the Manawatū region.  As well as the CETA shield, Junho also received a $50 Prezzi Card from CETA.

A Busy Year for Leo Mwape

2021 has been a busy year for Year 10 student Leo Mwape.  After winning the Palmerston North RSA Youth Speech Competition he was invited to deliver the address at the Armistice Day service.  Click here to read the Manawatū Guardian report from the Palmerston North Community Armistice Day Service. 

Earlier this year Leo was selected as a national finalist in the Youthtown Aotearoa contemporary songwriting competition. He was awarded $750 to fund a professional studio recording of his song 'To Be Young And Alive' which appears on the official Youthtown Aotearoa album - click below to listen. Leo is the first student from PNBHS who has been recognised in this national songwriting competition.
