The Matariki Fiafia festival held at the Speirs Centre in June, gave Level 1 Visual Art students the opportunity to sell their etchings. Some of the proceeds went towards supporting the Maori Studies and Pacifica Departments to provide resources and stationery for their students.

Dramafest 2021
Level 2 Drama present Niu Sila, directed by Miss Sophie Belcher.
Term 3, Week 3, Tuesday 10 August and Wednesday 11 August at 6.30pm
Written by Dave Armstrong and Oscar Kightley, play looks at the experiences and interpretations of both cultures when, in 1980s’ New Zealand, a Samoan family moves into a predominantly Palangi street. Hilarious and tragic, it gives our young actors a real challenge to step beyond their comfort zones to fully exploit the wonderful script.
Level 1 Drama presents 12 Angry Men (abridged) directed by Mr Chris Burton. Written by Reginald Rose.
Term 3, Week 5, Wednesday August 25 and Thursday August 26 at 7.00pm.
This classic jury room drama provides an intriguing battle between those who pre-judge and others who form judgments based on facts. It is a universal theme with high relevance in 2021!
