The New Zealand Super Eight Schools Badminton tournament was played in New Plymouth on Thursday 24 and Friday 25 of June. The team started strongly, beating Hastings Boys' High School 5 - 1, Napier Boys' High School 6 - 0 and Tauranga Boys' College 4 - 2 on day one.

Day two started positively with a 6 - 0 win over New Plymouth Boys' High School.  The final saw PNBHS pitted against a very strong Hamilton Boys' High School side.  Hamilton Boys' took the win 1 - 5, with the PNBHS Senior A team finishing second overall.

Congratulations to Joe Inman, Arahan Pilkington and Brandon Lee, who have been selected in the New Zealand Secondary Schools’ Brass Band for 2021. They will attend a week-long workshop in Christchurch in October, culminating with a gala concert performance.
