Te Ao Māori - A New Year 9 Subject at PNBHS

From the beginning of the 2021 school year, Te Ao Māori has been added as a Core Module subject for all Year 9 students.

The Te Ao Māori course is designed to help students understand, experience and use Te Reo Māori both at school and in their wider lives as well as to learn their whakapapa - their identity.  This short course will focus on pronunciation, local place names and their meanings and Ngā tākaro - Traditional Māori games.
