Euan Hubbard and Bruce Hemara by PNBHS

The 1st XV Changing Rooms under the Grandstand have been having a makeover.

Bruce Hemara,( 1971-1975)  former All Black and current coach of the 1st XV has been passionately working on the refurbishment of the changing rooms underneath the grandstand, we featured these being opened in a newsletter last year.  The idea is to establish a space  that all Old Boys, and especially former 1st XV rugby players could feel proud of those who have gone before them, and to inspire the young men of todays 1st XV as they mentally prepare for their game on the PNBHS No1 Field.

Evan Hubbard who is the founder and patron of the White Jersey Club was financially supportive in assisting with the costs.

Because of this, Bruce has put the photo of the 1957 team of which Euan was a member on display there are also many other teams on display and significant role models on the wall.

If you look at the photo  you will see the photo of Bruce in the gallery of All Black’s who are ex PNBHS. We have many of our All Blacks, our Maori All Blacks and our Internationals on display, this will be updated as we didn't have everyones photos when it went to print and we will have to add our new Rugby Stars as well.

If you ever get a chance to have a look, take it.
